If your existing Wi-Fi infrastructure doesn’t have builtin BLE, the BT-L1 from Blyott is an excellent option.The BT-1 is pre-configured and ready to use right out of the box. This device includes hassle-free remote management through over-the-air (OTA) updates. The BT-L1 selectively listens to BLE broadcasts based on either BLE MAC address prefixes or manufacturer IDs, effectively reducing unnecessary network traffic by focusing only on relevant signals.
Upon detecting BLE broadcasts, the BT-L1 securely transmits data to the Blyott Cloud using either its built-in 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet port or via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, ensuring fast and reliable communication. The device's firmware is fortified with code signing and a secure boot mechanism, and it communicates with the Blyott Cloud using the MQTT protocol within a secure TLS tunnel layer. This high level of security is further enhanced by X.509 certificates, individually assigned to each device and signed by Blyott, which facilitates device isolation in the rare case of certificate compromise.
Powered by either USB or PoE, the BT-L1 is fully configurable remotely via the Blyott Remote Insights Platform, making it a versatile and secure choice for asset tracking. Its ease of setup and robust security measures make the BT-L1 an essential tool for efficient and secure asset management.
